EQIP Grant Opportunities & Financial Assistance Available

The Tule Basin Land and Water Conservation Trust are pleased to announce the hiring of a new Program Director, Susan Long. Beginning January 2023, Long will manage efforts related to conservation, water, and agriculture in the Tule Subbasin by identifying resources and developing relationships and programs. 

For example, if farmers are eligible and elect to participate in the following practices with EQIP, they can expect funding in the following amounts:

  • Drainage Water Management (Code 554) Efficiently manages the timing and amount of water discharged from drainage systems ($108 - $130)

  • Fence; Field Border (Code 382, 386) Controls movement of people and animals on repurposed lands dedicated to ecological restoration. ($4 - $21 per foot; $123 - $454 per acre)

  • Soil Health Management Plan; Soil Health System Design (Code 116, 162) Improves water quality and filtration, promotes biodiversity, and advances environmental health. ($1,265 - $2,733; $2433 - $7,786)
