Tule Trust Hires Administrative Assistant
The Tule Basin Land and Water Conservation Trust is pleased to announce the hiring of an administrative assistant, Roxanne Reitsma. Beginning August 28, 2023, Reitsma will provide support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, assisting in daily office needs and managing the Trust’s general administrative activities.
A native to the Central Valley, Reitsma and her family hold great ties to the community dating back to the late 1800s as dairy farmers. Reitsma has a passion for helping others, understands the impacts of SGMA and is looking forward to learning how the Trust can aid in the transitions ahead. Reitsma also worked as a loan processor for two years, and held her real estate license, with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from CSU Fresno. Reitsma was previously the office manager or her family dairy for 17 years, providing office management, administration, record keeping, accounting, and human resources.
“I’m excited to join the Trust and to continue to work in the ag industry,” said Reitsma. “Having come from farming when water was bountiful, I am interested in learning and contributing to how the Trust can help farmers gain sustainability for our future.”
“It is a pleasure to welcome Roxanne to the Tule Trust ,” said Susan Long, Executive Director at the Tule Trust. “Roxanne’s knowledge and experience will aid the Trust in its continued growth by providing much needed administrative support, so my time can be spent on relationship building; development and implementation of projects; and securing ongoing funding.”
The position was created and will be sustained utilizing several grants awarded to the Trust over the past two years. Ongoing funding will come from future grants, project development, and donations. We hope to utilize the position to aid with marketing and fundraising efforts to support our programs and future growth.
