Capinero Restoration Volunteer Event

The Capinero Restoration project includes 467 acres of previously farmed land in the highly over drafted Tule Subbasin. The land was removed from active farming production to aid in groundwater management efforts and is being restored to protect and restore alkali scrub habitat for threatened & endangered species in the Southern San Joaquin Valley.

We invite you to join us in collecting baseline data by measuring and recording the height of each transplant.

The event hosted by The Nature Conservancy and River Partners will be held on Thursday, February 27th and Friday, February 28th . Work will start promptly at 9am each day, and end by 3pm. Volunteers can join one of the two days or both days. Snacks and lunch will be provided.
